Cascadia’s May 22 fixture against Kernow at the Fenton Engineering Stadium will be streamed live on the Prost International YouTube channel. With both sides ramping up preparations for the match at Northwood FC, coverage will be available online with kick-off at 15:00 BST, 7am Cascadia time.

Coverage will include both pre and post-match interviews as well as top-level commentary provided by Christof Walker who has called Cascadia matches before on two occasions.

Cascadia manager James Nichols has recently made the big-name addition of former Hereford United and Lincoln City star Gavin McCallum. Kernow are also making strides prior to the fixture. James Ward led his side to a convincing 7-1 victory in a friendly against Camelford FC.

Kernow now have five wins in their five matches and now face the opportunity to turn that run into their first-ever silverware.

The victorious party will get their hands on a match-dedicated trophy. Players also have an extra incentive to showcase their ability with a Man of the Match award to be handed out.

The effect of having the match streamed live across the world isn’t lost on Nichols:

“It’s great to have the match streamed globally. This will be extremely beneficial for our fans in Cascadia who aren’t able to attend the game.”

For those who can attend, tickets are available now through Northwood FC’s online ticketing function. The nearest tube station is Northwood Hills.

Cascadia Women's Team Formed

Cascadia Women's team becomes the first North America and Caribbean Women's team in CONIFA

August, 9th 2020

Cascadia Association Football Federation announces the creation of a Women's National Team as of today. This is the first women's team in the CONIFA North America and Caribbean region. They aim to play their first match in early 2021.

Cascadia represents the Cascadia region spanning from Oregon to British Columbia.Cascadia Women began a search for a team manager in July. While there are a handful of interested players, a selection list will be made and training scheduled once a manager is in place.

“A Cascadia Women's Soccer team is long overdue. We hope to give opportunities for players to participate at the international level and explore the world,” said CONIFA North America and Caribbean President and Cascadia Association Football Federation President Aaron Johnsen.

“During any given season, Collegiate, High School, or Club, there are thousands of competitive women players in the Pacific Northwest playing for the love of the game. This Cascadia team looks to unite the women’s game from British Columbia to Southern Oregon and every part of the region in-between," said CONIFA North America and Caribbean Director of Women's Soccer Josh Duder, "Cascadia Women’s Soccer will give these athletes more opportunities to express themselves on the field and play at an international level.”

They join Northern Cyprus, Occitania, Sápmi, Matabeleland Football Confederacy's Queen Lozikeyi Academy and Karen as CONIFA members with women's national teams.

The first international CONIFA women's match took place in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus on Nov 10, 2018, between Sápmi and Northern Cyprus. Sápmi won 4-0, with goals from Sigrun Linaker Dybek, Emilia Kristensen, Sandra Simonsen, and Christina Elise Blind.

CONIFA announced that the 2021 Women's World Football Cup will hopefully be hosted by Székely Land and feature six teams in CONIFA's Instagram Live interview with Vice President of CONIFA Europe, Kristof Wenczel.
